The Lymphoedema service in Leeds is now fully established! There are two specialist clinics at Wharfedale Hospital and Bexley Wing, St James University Hospital with outreach clinics in North East, West and South Leeds. You can be referred to the service by your GP or your hospital consultant. We welcome patients of all ages - from babies to more senior citizens!
We welcome Liz Hassey to the Leeds team. Liz is a senior physiotherapist who has been working with people with lymphoedema for the last 12 years. Liz is taking up a special role in the team in helping people to gain and increase their fitness and mobility. As from October 2008, there will be an opportunity to join special classes up at the clinic at Wharfedale, including activities based on T'ai Chi and Yoga.
